Marshmallow Gun

We needed a quick winter project this weekend, so we decided to make a couple of marshmallow guns.  Pretty easy to make and these things can really launch a mini marshmallow 40-50 feet.

Materials needed:
(25) inches of 1/2 inch PVC pipe
(2) 1/2 inch PVC Tees
(1) 1/2 inch PVC Couplings
(2) 1/2 inch 90 degree Elbows
(2) 1/2 inch end Caps
PVC Pipe cutter of small saw
Camouflage tape or spray paint

Cut the PVC pipe into the following lengths:
(1) 9 inch piece
(5) 2 1/2 inch pieces
(1) 3 1/2 inch piece

Assemble the pieces as shown below by just pushing the pieces together.  You do not need to use cement or glue. We used camo tape that we found at Cabelas that is typically used to wrap weapons.  We’ve seen them painted as well.

marshmallow3See below for our final results. If you keep your ammo (min marshmallows) in the refrigerator they wont get all sticky and the keep a long time. Only issue with doing this, the marshmallows may get jammed up in the gun when cold and hard. So let them warm up a few minutes before you use them.

marshmallow4Now the fun part, just put one of the mini marshmallows in the open tube, put your lips on and blow hard.  Suggest you get younger kids to wear safety glasses as these things will come out fast and hit hard.

Warning:  Wear safety glasses and do not shoot at anyones face or you might shoot an eye out kid!
